Destinations

This series of images was taken in rural Australia and highlight the precarious situation we are in. The trees are like statues or angels in cemeteries - their death a reminder of environmental stress and decline. Also present in the built environment are other signs that all is not well. Disused service stations, no longer serving their purpose, remind me of long hot summer holiday trips - where we have been and destinations. Together, these images suggest mutuality; of the past and the future, of cause and effect, and of decline and death. Any why we must act.
